My sister and I did a little photo-shoot this morning so that I could try creating a "high-key portrait." I was recently reading about this technique, where you place a light figure against a light background and blow out the highlights, so that the figure in the image is defined through shadows. It's the opposite for a "low-key portrait" where the figure is defined through highlights. I'd say this is a 60% high key portrait..maybe, because I could've pushed the contrast to make the shadows more important in defining form. However i'm glad that I had this technique as an inspiration point.
